writer's group

It’s that time again. Our monthly meeting of the Insecure Writer’s Group. In past posts I’ve shared some of my insecurities, today I thought I’d share with you some blogs that will help you to remove part of the insecurities (and hurdles) almost every writer faces. I think it’s important to not only share our fears and worries, but also to share the places that have helped us to remove some of those fears and these blogs are two that I’ve found to be the most helpful and I hope you will too.

SEO and Blogging Tips

Matt, the IT Sherpa from Guerrilla Wordfare, posts weekly SEO and Blogging tips and how to get the most out of Facebook and Twitter. Why are these things important to writers? Because it’s the quickest, easiest, and most importantly, cheapest way for writers to get their books into the hands of readers. If people don’t know you exist, then they’ll never know how great your book is. Matt gives helpful tips and tricks on ways to gain more traffic to your site and how to increase your fanbase.

Book Reviewers

Jenn from The Blog Starts Here, is an awesome book reviewer and blogger. She is also moderator of the Goodreads group, Creative Reviews. If you’re a writer, then having good reviews is a great way to boost your sales. Jenn and the members at Creative Reviews review books for free. That’s right. Get your book reviewed for free.  All of the members are friendly and helpful. Many are writers themselves who are always willing to answer questions and share tips they’ve learned along the way. If you’re a writer and want your book reviewed, this is the place you need to be. If you head on over to her blog now, you’ll be able to enter her free autographed book copy giveaway.
